Stay Home, Stay Safe

Munising Public Schools will be closing Mather Elementary and the Munising Middle/High School to any public access due to Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order that goes into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. The order directs all Michigan businesses and operations to temporarily suspend in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life, and remains in effect for three weeks, through Monday, April 13. Only our employees who are necessary to conduct minimum basic operations will be on staff in each building, with other employees working remotely. You may still leave a voicemail at each school, as messages are checked daily. The school closure that is presently in effect will also now be extended until Tuesday, April 14.

The free lunch program will continue at the various pick up locations (see our website for locations and pick up times), and lunch can still be picked up at the Middle/High School from noon to 1:00 p.m. each day. We are also expanding the free program to now include breakfast. The breakfast, which can be used the following morning, will be included in the same pick up bag with lunch each day.
