Remote Learning in Effect October 5

On Sunday, October 4, 2020 Munising Public Schools was notified by the LMAS District Health Department that one of our employees has tested positive for COVID-19.  All close contacts of the individual have been notified by LMAS and will be following quarantine protocols.  Only one student was identified as a close contact.

Due to staffing challenges in our transportation department, Munising Public Schools will be switching to remote learning beginning Monday, October 5 and continuing until Monday, October 19, when in-person instruction will resume. The remote learning plan will start with instructional packets for Mather Elementary students.  In the Middle/High School, Chromebooks will be available for pick-up beginning Monday, October 5. Students may also use their own devices. Instruction will be delivered through Google Classroom.  Middle and high school students should check their school email for Google Meet times for their classes.  Mustang Online students will continue their existing form of online instruction.

Free breakfast and lunch for all students will be available for pick-up daily at the Middle/High School from noon until 1:00pm.

School athletic events and extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled.  Decisions about athletic contests requiring school transportation will be made on an event by event basis.

We apologize for any inconvenience this change in instruction will cause. As always, we appreciate your support and cooperation.
