Tomorrow, Friday, March 7th, MPS will be running a 4 bus run schedule both in the morning and afternoon. Some students may experience delays of 15-20 minutes in the morning. 

Congratulations to our 7th & 8th grade band students and director Michelle Gaunt on earning all 2's at the NMU Band Festival on Tuesday!  
Unfortunately, the weather canceled the festival performance for our high school band, but are looking for another way to reward the students for their efforts with an upcoming community performance.  Stay tuned for more information!

Due to high winds and drifting snow conditions that are forecasted to subside, Munising Public Schools will be under a 3 hour delay Thursday, March 6th.   Munising MIddle/High School will begin at 11 am and Mather Elementary at 11:15 am.  

🚧 Bridge Builders in Action! 🚧
Mrs. LaFlamme’s 3rd-grade scientists put their engineering skills to the test, designing and building bridges in class!  Petra and Kaleb’s impressive bridge held over 200 washers—a record for the challenge!

3rd Grade Sledding Fun! 
Last week, Ms. Hetherington’s and Mrs. LaFlamme’s 3rd graders had an amazing time enjoying the winter weather on their sledding outing!   Laughter, teamwork, and plenty of snowy adventures made for a memorable day.

 Second Grade Snowshoeing Adventure! 
Yesterday, Mrs. Johnson’s and Mr. Johnson’s second graders took to the trails for a snowshoeing adventure!   With snow beneath their feet and excitement in the air, our students embraced the winter weather while getting some great exercise and hands-on learning about the outdoors. 
Snowshoeing is an awesome way to build endurance, balance, and an appreciation for nature—and these kiddos made the most of it! A big thank you to Mrs. Johnson and Mr. Johnson for leading the way on this fun-filled winter exploration. 


First Grade Fun on the Slopes! 
Our first graders had an absolute blast sledding with Mrs. Murk!   Students enjoyed the fresh winter weather and some well-earned outdoor fun. Sledding is not just a great way to burn off energy—it also builds confidence, teamwork, and a love for the great outdoors! 
A huge thank you to Mrs. Murk for making this such a special experience for our students. Check out these smiling faces and rosy cheeks!
