Congratulations to the 15 new members who were inducted tonight (11/8) at the 7:00pm ceremony held in Mather Auditorium. The NHS Adviser, Mrs. Frantti did a stellar job of organizing and hosting the ceremony. The NHS President, Alexandria Johns-Devries and the other officers (Kaelan Mulye, Mackenzie Richardson, Valerie Johnson, & Maci Cornish) did a great job with their program roles. Lastly a big thank you to guest speaker, Charles Nebel for a funny, sincere, and emotional speech and to Rick Mulye for lighting, sound, and technical support!
Munising Public Schools is applying to receive Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER) to address unfinished learning and the ongoing COVID-19 recovery. This event is held for parents and Munising sports fans to come and meet the Winter Sports Athletes and Coaches. Important information and expectations for the upcoming season will be shared. The teams for Boys and Girls Basketball at all levels (MS, JV, and Varsity), Wrestling, Hockey, and Competitive Cheer will be introduced. The new Cooperative Hockey Team (Manistique, Munising, Newberry) will open their competitive season with the first game on November 16th. Although the Coach (John Nutkins) and the Manistique Athletic Director (Nate Zaremba) are still trying to add a few games, the graphic below details currently scheduled home and away games. Although, home games will be played at the Little Bear West Ice Arena in Manistique, there are some practices schedule to be held in the Alger Centennial Ice Arena in Munising. HELP WITH MASKS - Hello Munising MS/HS Parents & Students, our stock of disposal face masks is quickly dwindling. Many students report to the office for a new mask each day. Please help out if possible by reminding your child to bring a face mask from home each day. If students can bring/use washable cloth masks from home, it will help us stretch our limited supply and cut down on trash volume. Your help is greatly appreciated! :-)
