Where’s Short Santa? at Mather

Holiday excitement is in full swing at Mather Elementary as students search each day for Short Santa, hidden somewhere in the building! This festive activity has brought lots of smiles, laughter, and school spirit while encouraging students to stay engaged and attentive throughout the day.

Students are encouraged to keep track of Short Santa’s location throughout the week, adding an extra layer of fun and anticipation. We love seeing our students enjoy these joyful moments and celebrate the season together!

Holiday Hustle Success @ Mather

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our students, families, and staff, Mather Elementary’s Holiday Hustle raised $2,687.17!

All proceeds will go directly toward supporting the M-Packs Program, helping ensure children in our community have access to food when they need it most. Even more exciting—through the Alger Regional Community Foundation Grant Program, this donation will be matched, bringing the total impact to an amazing $5,374.34 for local families!

Congratulations to Ms. Martin’s 4th grade class, who earned the top spot and won the Holiday Hustle competition! Way to lead with generosity and school spirit! They will celebrate their win with hot cocoa, pizza, and an extra recess as part of their well-earned title!

We are so proud of our Mather students for showing what it means to care for others and give back to our community.

Family Safety Reminder

As part of our ongoing commitment to student safety, we encourage families to make sure that all tobacco products, vaping devices, medications, and other adult-only items are kept securely stored and out of children’s reach. Young learners are naturally curious, and preventing access helps us ensure their health and safety both at home and at school.

Thank you for helping us create a safe environment for all Mustangs.

MUNISING PUBLIC SCHOOLS - FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM UPDATE - 12.9.25
We are working hard to improve our food service program with increased food quality and menu variety. We care about what our students have to say and have involved Student Council members in various taste testing panels to seek their input on new menu items. We recently surveyed our secondary students about their likes and dislikes to help us in determining which items should stay on our menu and which items need to be improved or phased out. The results of the student food service survey are linked on the Dining Information page of the district website. Feel free to check it out. There are more exciting changes to come which our students, staff, and parents are sure to appreciate. Sincerely, MJT

Fourth Grade Field Trip Highlights!

A huge thank-you to Gallery Coffee and the ROAM Community Foundation for their incredible hospitality and generosity today! Our fourth graders enjoyed a wonderful learning experience centered around plot and storytelling, and the welcoming atmosphere (hot cocoa included) made the lesson even more special.

Students had the chance to learn in a real community space, explore new ideas, and connect their classroom work to the world around them. We are so grateful for partners who support our students and help bring learning to life.

Thank you, Gallery Coffee, ROAM Community Foundation, Ms. Martin, Mrs. Kelto, Mr. Ethan, and Volunteers for making today unforgettable for our fourth graders!
