Dear Mustang Families,
It is with a great deal of sadness that I provide you with this update. We have learned that the step-father of one of our current high school students passed away unexpectedly last night.
We are working to provide support to this student and his family.
Earlier this morning, we conducted a wellness visit to their home which proved to be a very emotional experience for all involved and successfully conveyed the care and concern that we all have for this student and his family.
This student, his mother, and extended family are grieving, but are welcoming of support. If you desire to help in any way, please do NOT reach out directly to them at this time, but coordinate support and assistance through Principal Lasak and our mental health team including Rachel Harmon (Social Worker), Matt Mattson (Guidance Counselor), and Melissa Carlson and Brandi Brewster (E3 Counselors).
Out of respect, we are not sharing additional information at this time.
Please join me in keeping this student, his mother, and their family in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Mike Travis
Superintendent

Congratulations to Everett and his parents!
