MPS Transportation Update Today 2/15 - Last minute changes....we have to put all of the riders from Bus 2 (Dino Bus) Bus 10 (Turtle Bus) this afternoon due to driver illness.

Today (Thursday 2/9) & Tomorrow (Friday 2/10) due to sports trips...
Bus #10 (Turtle Bus) will be replaced by Sub Bus 9A Thursday afternoon.
Bus #3 (Bear Bus) will be replaced by Sub Bus 9A Friday afternoon.
Preschool Registration is March 3rd!
We are bringing back the student newspaper this spring entitled the "Orange and Black." Here is a sample of what it will look like from teacher, Heather Nayback. Look for our first student issue in March!
Due to travel conditions, the boys basketball game tonight vs. Gladstone has been cancelled.

MPS WEATHER NOTICE:
Munising Public Schools is closed tomorrow, Friday, February 3rd due to poor driving visibility, and dangerous windchill temperatures. M-28 is currently closed between Munising & Marquette and the Alger County Road Commission has confirmed that M-28 will not reopen before 7:00am if then. Weather conditions are expected to improve by midday tomorrow. The home Boys’ JV & Varsity Basketball Games scheduled with Gladstone tomorrow evening will still be held as of this time.
Due to hazardous weather conditions and road closure, tonight's Girls Basketball game vs. Superior Central has been canceled along with all other after school activities.
MPS Transportation Update:
Bus changes for this afternoon, Jan 31. Bus #9B (deer bus) will be replaced by Bus #9A due to a sports run.
Please join us in welcoming MPS's new School Resource Officer, in conjunction with the Munising City Police Department, Officer Jake Kleiman.
Congratulations to Mr. Mulye on his retirement this month from Munising Public Schools. We are so grateful for all his hard work for the district. We wish him the absolute best in his retirement!

4TH GRADE UPDATE:
Due to single digital temperatures and below zero wind chills, and the PRNL's cold weather policy, the 4th grade field trip to PRNL has been rescheduled for WEDNESDAY, FEB. 1ST. Please plan accordingly for the trip on Wednesday with the same 8:30am pick up scheduled.
After learning about different types of bridges, Mrs. Cole's class built model bridges using only 2 sheets of paper. They had to span 6 inches and be at least 3 inches wide. The one that held the most washers won! Second Place is awarded to partners Jaxon Bublitz and Max Crisp with 147. First place is awarded to partners Clare Bowerman and Hadley Johnson with 264! Way to go!
