All afternoon and evening events are canceled due to the Winter Storm Warning which expires at 8:00pm. This includes athletic practices and the SAT Prep Session for Munising High School Juniors. The remaining and important SAT Prep Sessions are on April 11th & 12th.
Munising Public Schools will be closed today, Thursday, March 31, 2022 due to hazardous weather and travel conditions.
On Friday, April 1, 2022, two bus runs will be combined to take students home at the end of the day. All students who normally ride bus #10 will ride bus #2 home. Students may get home up to 45 minutes later than their usual time.

Coach Mattson is excited for another season! We have some amazing athletes, so the team will be fun to watch this year. We have two home Varsity Track Meets and two home Middle School Track Meets and will be in need of volunteers to help with timing, and running field events. MUSTANG TRACK & FIELD - 2022
Non-mandatory practices for HIGH SCHOOL track athletes began on March 21st and will continue through Friday, April 1st. Mandatory practices for HIGH SCHOOL track athletes will begin Monday, April 11th upon return from Spring Break. HIGH SCHOOL track athletes should check with Coach Mattson regarding times. matt.mattson@mps-up.com
MIDDLE SCHOOL track practices have not yet begun. Mandatory MIDDLE SCHOOL track practices will begin on Monday, April 18th and practice times for MIDDLE SCHOOL track athletes will be right after school at 3:00pm. Questions should be directed to Coach Anne Peramaki at anne.peramaki@mps-up.com.
The meet schedules for middle school and high school track and field will be posted by Monday, March 28th.

CYBERSTANGS HAVE BIG DAY AT ESCANABA TODAY (3/19).
They propelled through the semifinals and advanced to the final match. The Cyberstangs earned Second Place and the Quality Award, but most importantly they scored enough points to punch their ticket to the FIRST State Finals! Keep up the great work Coach Cornish and Team. Mustang Proud!!!

MUNISING MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL & MUNISING PUBLIC LIBRARY CONTINUE TO CELEBRATE MARCH IS READING MONTH:
Ms. Nayback's College English Students created character scrapbooks about the book they are reading for her class and these are now on display in the library. Here are a few pictures of some of their projects. Thank you to Librarian, Mrs. Cromell for helping create these picture files and for setting up library displays. Book numbers at the circulation desk are on the rise for Munising. More reading means more knowledge and more success!
